The West St. Paul Summer Fun Fest is a free community event hosted by Dodge Nature Center and the South Robert Street Business Association (SRSBA). It’s on Saturday, August 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dodge Nature Center.
The festivities include:
- Tethered hot air balloon rides
- Axe throwing
- Pony and wagon rides
- Live animal programs
- Nature activities
- Live music from The Teddy Bear Band (bring your own teddy bear or stuffed animal)
- Food and drink for purchase
While there have been a few community-wide gatherings since the pandemic (including Juneteenth and Pride in the Park), Summer Fun Fest is the first such event from Dodge Nature Center and SRSBA since they teamed up to put on the 2020 Winter Fun Fest just before the pandemic lockdown.
While the West St. Paul Summer Fun Fest is mainly an outdoor event, everyone should take appropriate COVID-19 precautions especially with the rise of the Delta variant.
