The 2022 primary election is on Tuesday, August 9 and includes county commissioner and county attorney races for all of West St. Paul, and the northern half of West St. Paul also has state house and senate primaries.
The filing period to run for public office in Minnesota closed today and we now know who will be on the ballot in 2022 to represent West St. Paul at the city, county, and state level.
Just when you though West St. Paul was done with shifting electoral boundaries, it might happen again as the Dakota County Board of Commissioners considers new district boundaries, including one that divides West St. Paul.
