After interviewing three finalists, the West St. Paul City Council selected Nate Burkett for the role of city manager.
West St. Paul is looking to hire a new city manager, and this week the three finalists will face the public and be interviewed by the City Council.
The West St. Paul City Council had little on the regular meeting agenda, but did approve a new committee appointment process, learn about Crusader Ave. construction in 2022, and a new pool contract with the YMCA. A council member also took heat for recent comments at the virtual town hall.
The West St. Paul City Council considered three charter amendments, expanded committees, named finalists for the city manager position, and moved a development project forward.
West St. Paul’s Charter Commission passed three amendments expanding the mayor’s voting power, adding seats to the Charter Commission, and clarifying eligible votes.
