In 1971, Sibley High School moved to Mendota Heights and became Henry Sibley High School, though the connections to the old campus would linger for decades.

West St. Paul can thank James Kennedy for its current plethora of parks as well as recreation programming. City Council named Kennedy Park after him in recognition of his contributions.
