West St. Paul City Council took the first official step in expanding signs and allowing murals, used state money to restructure the police department, approved an interim marijuana moratorium, and had a closed session that’s likely the first step in coming redevelopment.
While the state legislature opened the door on edibles and other hemp-derived products, West St. Paul City Council shut the door with a temporary moratorium while they work out regulatory issues. The Council also approved townhouses on the former golf course on a split vote.
New townhomes and edibles will consume the West St. Paul City Council agenda on Monday.
West St. Paul City Council swore in a new police officer, limited tobacco shops, implemented Robert Street Renaissance Plan changes, and discussed safety concerns at Emerson Park.
