West St. Paul City Council had a light agenda this week with just Crusader Avenue reconstruction on the regular agenda and parking minimums on the work session agenda.
This week’s West St. Paul City Council meeting included informational updates on next week’s election, homeless outreach, a coming Thompson Avenue turnback, and the art park. There was also business as usual with failed alcohol and tobacco checks and public hearings for citations, assessments, and street improvements.
The first in-person West St. Paul City Council meeting in three months included discussion of policing and proposed apartments at the former K-mart site.
Lots of routine business in this meeting, as well as a presentation on a pilot program that pairs a police officer with a social worker to address mental health issues.
