Racist Deeds Banned People of Color From Homes in Dakota County

A study of Dakota County property records has unearthed racist language that sought to segregate and discriminate against people of color. While unenforceable, so far these racial covenants have been found in more than 40 West St. Paul properties.

Just when you though West St. Paul was done with shifting electoral boundaries, it might happen again as the Dakota County Board of Commissioners considers new district boundaries, including one that divides West St. Paul.
