West St. Paul City Council overrode the mayor’s first veto, approved a liquor license and improvements to outdoor seating at El Cubano, and tweaked the Open Council Work Session format to be more productive.
West St. Paul’s City Council will consider a veto override, look to further tweak the Open Council Work Session (OCWS) meetings, and consider an expansion of the Smith/Dodd Overlay.
Discussion included the proposed 2022 budget and the setting for future Open Council Work Session meetings. Nearly half of the regular meeting was taken up with citizen comments from a former Council member.
There’s not a lot of action on the agenda for the regular West St. Paul City Council meeting, though the OCWS will get into the 2022 budget and potentially revamping how OCWS operates.
