Story Stroll in West St. Paul's Marthaler Park

Story Stroll Happening in West St. Paul Parks

Thanks to Southview Garden Center for their support.

With a lot of regular activities canceled due to the pandemic, families are looking for things to do. A great way to get outside, get a walk, and take in some books is the Story Stroll, a new effort in West St. Paul parks.

You can read through a children’s story while walking through the parks. Signs appear periodically along the route with more of the story and illustrations. It’s a great opportunity to take in a book and nature at the same time.

It’s happening at two different parks at two different times:

Residential real estate services serving Minneapolis, St Paul and the Twin Cities Metro. Looking for a Realtor to help you buy, sell or invest?
  • September 21 – October 4 at Marthaler Park. The start of the book is on the playground side at the northern entrance to the park off Wentworth.
  • October 12-25 at Southview Park. The start of the book is near the park shelter.

When you’re finished Story Stroll, you can always head to Wentworth Library for more great reading.

Similar events have been organized in St. Paul, Philadelphia, North Carolina, and there’s the original StoryWalk program created in 2007 by Anne Ferguson that’s been in all 50 states and 12 countries.

Local stories like this happen with your support.
