Clover Montessori School to Open in West St. Paul

A new child care center is set to open this fall in West St. Paul. Clover Montessori School will serve 44 kids ages 16 months to six years. The school will open at 1025 Dodd Road in a former bank building that will be renovated this summer and two playgrounds installed.

“We are intentionally keeping Clover Montessori School small,” owner Jana Hedlund said. “That way, I can be the sole administrator while also working as an educator, side by side with the team.”

Hedlund has an extensive background in Montessori education, including 10 years of experience, training at the Montessori Center of Minnesota, and going through the Montessori model as a child.

“The families we serve in the first year are going to be founders, a permanent part of the history of this school,” Hedlund said. “I’m excited to meet them—excited to meet the first children of Clover Montessori School!”

Hedlund recently moved to West St. Paul because the city feels like a community with strong civic involvement and responsive and supportive city leaders.

Clover Montessori School is expected to open on Sept. 15, 2022 with pre-registration happening in August.
