We’re saying hello to some of our neighbors, meeting folks who support West St. Paul Reader. Today we’re meeting Jeannine Pohl, a portrait photographer who has lived on the West Side since 2007. She became a member of West St. Paul Reader in December.

It’s a small town in a big city!

Pace Automotive: Local, family owned auto repair. Personal, honest service.

Amore Coffee.

What’s your go-to West St. Paul eatery?

El Cubano.

Why did you move to West St. Paul?

Variety of food, close to parks, the river, and downtown Saint Paul.

ISD 197 School Board Recap: May 4, 2026

Increased revenue meant an improved budget for ISD 197’s current fiscal year. The school board also approved a Language Access Plan and heard multiple updates.

  1. I like the news without a lot of bias and playing to the interest of the reader. I like the comments on new activities and new places to eat. Maybe you could have a food columnist for the month to describe their favorite eating spots. We have some wonderful church’s as well and I suspect that some of your reader/members goto them. they all probably have interesting histories.
