Thanks to West St. Paul Chiropractic, Dakota County, and Inver Grove Ford for their support.
The third annual West St. Paul Rider community bike ride brought more than 100 people to the trails of West St. Paul and beyond. Riders of all ages tackled a 4-mile short route and 20-mile long route, with several water and snack stops along the way.
“I knew the trails existed, but I really didn’t know how to utilize them,” said Andrew Baussan. “So I feel very empowered now!”
This year’s bike ride offered a bonus day to the Explore West St. Paul Days community celebration.
The ride included the support of nearly 20 volunteers, West St. Paul Police Reserves, Dakota County, and the City of West St. Paul. Several elected officials participated, including Representative Mary Frances Clardy, Dakota County Commissioner Joe Atkins, City Council Members Lisa Eng-Sarne, Robyn Gulley, and Wendy Berry, and ISD 197 School Board Member Byron Schwab.
The free event raised money for the Residents of Color Collective (ROCC), a local organization that empowers BIPOC and unheard communities. (If you weren’t able to donate at the event, you can donate now.)
