Do Something to Help: Community Clean Up Day

Thanks to Mike’s Butcher Shop for their support. Hosting a dinner party? Simply looking for something quick and easy? From fresh cuts to grill-ready kabobs, you’ll find everything you need at Mike’s.

With some gentle chiding from City Council Member Pat Armon, West St. Paul is having a community clean up day.

  • When: Saturday, September 16 from 9:30-11 a.m.
  • Where: Meet at the Harmon Park hockey rink to pick up supplies, but then you’re invited to head out to anywhere in the city you think needs to be cleaned up.
  • Bonus: Coffee and rolls will be available.
  • Prizes: There will be a prize drawing for volunteers who fill up a trash bag, thanks to The Pizza Shop and Pace’s Tire and Service Center.

More info is available on the city’s Facebook event.

“I made a mistake I do once in a while and that’s to go to social media. There are some folks complaining about the city, and that’s fine. As long as you do something to help. If you feel something’s out of line, well then maybe try and make it better. … The more we pitch in to make our community better, the better it’s going to be—even for the complainers.”
