Frutilandia is a new restaurant that opened in West St. Paul this spring. It serves Mexican-style ice cream and desserts, and its dishes are fast but fancy.

New location: They relocated to 433 Mendota Road East after residing on Payne Avenue in St. Paul for around five years.

Residential real estate services serving Minneapolis, St Paul and the Twin Cities Metro. Looking for a Realtor to help you buy, sell or invest?

Saved by customers: The relocation came with a change in ownership, as the original customers wanted to prevent the shutdown of their favorite ice cream spot.

New owners: Eryn Medina is the co-owner of the new location, along with her parents. They say the location is bringing in both old and new customers alike, and while their store only has three employees, they have been managing the flow well.

Details: The Frutilandia menus are in Spanish, and the employees speak both Spanish and English. The store is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Get the latest from their Facebook page.
