Dodge Nature Center’s Hiking Challenge

Dodge Nature Center is hosting an event this summer to encourage the public to explore their properties. Fittingly named the Dodge Hiking Challenge, participants are eligible to win a uniquely designed sticker upon completion of their tasks.

How to Play

To be entered, participants need only snap a photo at each Dodge site and submit the pictures along with their basic information to their website. They can then opt to have their sticker mailed to them or pick it up at their main office. This is not a raffle-type rewards system: anyone who completes the tasks wins!

Sites and Sights

The Dodge Nature Center has four total sites included in the challenge, all hosting free admission:

  • Main Property in West St. Paul: 110 acres with prairies, wetlands, and woodlands.
  • Marie Property in West St. Paul: 40 acres of woodlands.
  • Lilly Property in Mendota Heights: 170 acres currently focused on habitat restoration.
  • Shepard Farm in Cottage Grove: 140 acres of prairies, woodlands, and historic structures.

Overlap with Let’s Explore West St. Paul

The Dodge Hiking Challenge runs from June to October and overlaps with the West St. Paul Reader’s Let’s Explore West St. Paul contest. Both the Marie and Main Dodge properties count toward entries in the contest. Submit your photos to both for the chance to win more awesome prizes.
