Pedestrian Hit at Smith/Dodd Intersection; Minor Injuries

A vehicle struck a 65-year-old West St. Paul woman at the Smith/Dodd intersection this afternoon. According to the police, the pedestrian was in the crosswalk when struck and was transported to the hospital with “minor injuries.” The incident is still under investigation. We’ll share more details as they become available.

Realignment: The intersection is currently in the planning stages for a realignment project with construction happening next year. Improving pedestrian safety is one of the goals of the project.
