The West St. Paul City Council met for a brief organizational meeting to swear in new members, address routine and required house-keeping measures, and approve maintenance for the ice arena.

Swearing in: The meeting kicked off with swearing in the newly elected members, including the three incumbents, Mayor Dave Napier, and Council Members Lisa Eng-Sarne and Robyn Gulley, as well as first-time Council Member Doug Fromm.

Pace Automotive: Local, family owned auto repair. Personal, honest service.

Organization: The main business of the organizational meeting is required house-keeping measures: various appointments—including Wendy Berry as mayor pro tem—the Council rules and code of ethics, and more.

Ice arena maintenance: The only other business conducted during this meeting was approval of a contract for $87,000 for maintenance of the ice arena. It’s time sensitive given the heating needs to be replaced. The work will likely take about six weeks to complete.
