This post is sponsored by Mississippi Valley Montessori School.

Mississippi Valley Montessori School is a parent-led nonprofit school that has served children from 33 months to 6 years old for over 50 years. They have select openings for fall enrollment—reach out now to schedule a tour.

School environment: Mississippi Valley has over 40 children enrolled, with full and half-day programs.

  • Facilities: In addition to two classrooms, Mississippi Valley has an indoor gym and outdoor space that includes gardens, sand area, water trough system, paved area for bikes, and a large grassy space to run and play.

  • Accredited: Since 2012, Mississippi Valley has been accredited by the Association Montessori International (AMI)—the international governing body of Montessori schools founded by Dr. Maria Montessori. They are one of only 18 schools in Minnesota with this accreditation.
  • Teachers and Support: Mississippi Valley has one AMI-trained teacher to assist with each age level represented in each class and extensive support staff to provide an authentic Montessori environment where your child can thrive.
  • Educational approach: The Montessori style is child-led where students have the freedom to explore their curiosities and direct their own learning.
