Fire Displaces Residents Eagle Pointe Apartment

Fire woke residents at the Eagle Pointe apartment complex just after midnight on Sunday, November 16. South Metro Fire responded quickly to douse the flames, but not before they caused extensive damage to three units.

“The fire was primarily located on the exterior of the building,” said South Metro Fire Deputy Chief Terry Johnson. “Upon arrival, our firefighters were able to extinguish the majority of the fire within a short time.”

  • Injuries: Paramedics treated one person on the scene for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
  • Damage: Two units were significantly damaged by fire and a third by water, displacing residents.
  • Cause: Johnson said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
  • Watch: A resident captured this dramatic video of the fire spreading and eventually put out by firefighters.
