Hobby Lobby Closing in West St. Paul

The West St. Paul Hobby Lobby location will be closing August 22.

  • The store did not give a public rationale for the closure.
  • It’s a store relocation with product being moved to Oklahoma, so do not expect clearance discounts.
  • Current employees are being transferred to other nearby stores, according to management.

What’s next: There’s no indication of what might be next for this large retail space on Robert Street.

History: The 63,000 square-foot-space was originally built in 1982 as a Rainbow Foods grocery store, which closed in 2014. Hobby Lobby announced their move to the site in 2016.
