Highway 52 will be closed again this weekend for more work on a pedestrian bridge just north of Butler Avenue.
- Where: The bridge connects Lewis Street and Stickney Avenue in the far northwest corner of South St. Paul.
- Closure: Highway 52 will be closed in both directions from Concord to Butler. The ramps from I-94 and I-494 to Highway 52 also will close along with the ramp from Plato Boulevard/Fillmore Avenue to southbound Highway 52.
- When: Highway 52 will be fully closed beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, through 5 a.m. on Sunday, September 20.
- What: The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is replacing the aging pedestrian bridge as part of their statewide Pedestrian Bridge Improvement Project. It’s as $3.2 million project. This closure will allow construction crews to pour concrete for the new bridge deck. The project should be completed by late October.
Highway 52 recently closed for a weekend in mid-August.
