South St. Paul’s annual fall event On the Road Again returns Saturday, October 3.
- When: Saturday, October 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Where: Along Southview Boulevard in South St. Paul.
- What: A fall festival with arts and crafts, car show, community booths, live music from Arch Allies, a beer garden, and contests for chalk art, pickles, and of course booyah.
The event includes the self-proclaimed “Booya World Championship,” where they typically serve up to 800 gallons of the slow-roasted stew.
A recent addition the event is the chalk art contest, organized by local artist Jaclee Slaba.

History: On the Road Again started in 1988 as a one-time event to celebrate the reopening of Southview Boulevard after reconstruction. Nearly 40 years later, it’s still going strong.
