The two candidates running for Minnesota House District 53B are Rick Hansen and Patti Mikulski. While neither candidate answered our candidate questionnaire, we did collect all other campaign resources and candidate forums.

Race profile: Minnesota representatives are elected to a two-year term. District 53B represents South St. Paul, parts of Inver Grove Heights and Cottage Grove, and Newport, St. Paul Park, and Grey Cloud Island.
Who’s running:
- Rick Hansen – DFL – Incumbent first elected in 2004, Hansen runs a small business and owns a family farm. Hansen did not respond to our questionnaire.
- Patti Mikulski – GOP – Mikulski works for Delta Air Lines. Mikulski did not respond to our questionnaire.
