A potential community center, shopping for a city attorney, and the budget will all come up for discussion during the West St. Paul City Council work session, with a public hearing for next year’s road projects and alcohol and tobacco compliance checks during the regular meeting.
The West St. Paul City Council held a series of public hearings, passing ordinances on catalytic converter theft, fraudulent gift cards, commercial vehicle parking, a marijuana moratorium, and more. They also discussed park cleanup and the Bike & Pedestrian Plan.
There will be six public hearings on the schedule for Monday’s City Council meeting, including the marijuana moratorium, catalytic converters, and mayor/council salary increase. There will also be a first look at the Bike & Pedestrian Plan update.
City Manager Ryan Schroeder is retiring and residents came out to voice complaints about the Moreland Avenue reconstruction project. Other City Council business included future park plans and a historic proclamation.
