Monday’s West St. Paul City Council meeting has a relatively brief agenda, which will be a relief after the last three-and-a-half-hour meeting.

A few of the topics on the various agendas:

  • Sidewalks & traffic: The Open Council Work Session (OCWS) will include a review of the Public Safety Committee meeting, which will come up in a few other items, but also includes priority recommendations for sidewalks and crosswalks, as well as taking no action on traffic calming for Carrie Street, an issue that came up with the Thompson Oaks apartment.
  • Sale: Speaking on Thompson Oaks, in what should be a purely procedural move, the city will start the process of selling the former golf course.
  • Housing rehab: The city is considering a pilot housing rehab program with NeighborWorks.
  • Proclamations: The city will recognize February as “African American History Month.”
  • Appointments: More volunteer appointments will be made with two appointments for Planning Commission. The names haven’t been announced, but it seems likely Mayor Napier will reappoint.

The official West St. Paul City Council meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020 at city hall.

Pace Automotive: Local, family owned auto repair. Personal, honest service.
