Cherokee Dental Relocates and Rebrands as Beyond Smiles DentaSpa

Thanks to The North 40 Tavern for their support. A north woods tavern somewhere in the middle of a big city. They regularly rotate tap beers, so stop in to see what’s currently flowing.

Longtime West St. Paul business Cherokee Dental has relocated and rebranded. Originally located on Annapolis near Smith Avenue, the business renovated a building on Moreland Avenue and hosted a grand opening celebration in July. The new Beyond Smiles DentaSpa now has more than twice the space.

“West St. Paul really is the heart and soul of our office, and I didn’t want to leave,” said owner Joshua Vang in a St. Paul Voice article. “There are families that we’ve been seeing for decades. I’m coming up on my 20th year of treating as a dentist.”

Pace Automotive: Local, family owned auto repair. Personal, honest service.

What’s a DentaSpa?: The combination dental clinic and MedSpa offers new and luxurious treatments, including laser technology instead of needles and chairs with massaging and warming features. The MedSpa includes skin treatments, scar removal, body contouring, and more.

Family focused: “The highlight of the office is the team that I’ve got here,” Vang told the St. Paul Voice. “My parents are part of my front desk team, as well as my wife who helps me spearhead a lot of the behind-the-scenes things…. I wanted to keep it that way, family-owned and run, and making sure that when folks come through, they don’t feel like a dollar sign. They’re part of a family that comes through and I’ve always stuck with that.”

History: Cherokee Dental started in the early 1980s and Vang took over in 2008. Prior to Vang’s ownership, the building at 34 Moreland Avenue East housed a series of businesses, some that weren’t properly licensed or zoned for the space.

Next: Vang still owns the former Cherokee Dental space on Annapolis and said last year he hopes to redevelop the space.
