Election Day Member Drive Bonus

Join West St. Paul Reader on Election Day and get a bonus ‘I Voted’ magnet.

We’re in the midst of our member drive, raising support for neighborhood news. We’re trying to get 50 new or upgraded members so we can expand student opportunities. In addition to over $200 in rewards, if you join on Election Day we’ll throw in an ‘I Voted’ magnet.

The magnet: Created by West St. Paul artist Carolyn Swiszcz, the magnet is an illustrated version of the standard Minnesota ‘I voted’ sticker handed out at the polls. She created it in 2020 as part of the Better Politics, Please project.

This year’s member drive includes a ton of other rewards:

Support local news. Get a local postcard.
  • Coupons: Everyone gets $200 in gift cards and coupons to local businesses.
  • Gift cards: We have 60 gift cards ranging in value from $5-50 from local businesses. We’ll give everyone a random gift card.
  • Local goodies: West St. Paul stickers and swag.
  • Regular benefits: Plus the regular benefits you get for being a member, including weekly member-only updates, exclusive text alerts for breaking news, postcards from local artists, 15% discount in our store, member meetups, and more.

Help Us Expand Student Opportunities

We love to give students interested in writing or photography an opportunity to get experience. We’ve hired writers and photographers in the past, though it’s been irregular and infrequent. With more member support, we can offer consistent and sustainable opportunities to help students.
