As part of a new “art everywhere” initiative, the City of West St. Paul is looking for artists to create benches for Kennedy Park.

  • “West St. Paul is seeking an artist with experience creating unique, creative, and weird art that sparks joy, makes people laugh, and celebrates a space,” reads the request for proposals.

Project: As part of this year’s redesign of Kennedy Park, the city is asking for proposals from artists for anywhere from one to four benches with a budget of $2,500 each. Proposals are due March 17 and the selected benches will be installed in late summer or early fall.

More: Interested artists can find more details in the city’s Call to Artists (PDF).

Kennedy Park: Located in West St. Paul’s Forty Acres neighborhood, the park is getting a major upgrade. The project kicked off last year with community input and a mural painting event.
