Kaposia Library is hosting local DJ and author Mary Lucia to discuss her book, What Doesn’t Kill me Makes Me Weirder and Harder to Relate To.
When: Monday, October 12 from 7-8 p.m.
Where: Kaposia Library in South St. Paul
Who: Lucia is a media broadcast personality, writer, actor, and voiceover artist. She could be heard on The Current from 2005 to 2022, where her unconventional style and expansive music knowledge made her one of the station’s most popular DJs. City Pages readers voted Lucia the best FM radio personality seven times. She currently works as a program advisor for Radio K.
What: Lucia’s memoir, released late last year, tells the harrowing tale of being stalked while living a very public life. She faced with victim-blaming and Minnesota Public Radio’s lackluster response.
