Changes to the intoxicating THC ordinances and an occupancy exception for Net Ministries will come before the West St. Paul City Council.
Community members packed city hall for a public hearing on a proposed mental health center, which West St. Paul City Council voted unanimously to approve. Council also approved the 2023 budget, approved purchasing the Hy-Vee property, and reviewed the new bike and pedestrian plan.
The owners of Tappers bought the former Marty’s Bar and reopened it as North 40 Tavern.
The West St. Paul City Council discussed the police response to mental health and economic development strategy, as well as approved expansions to where liquor stores and tattoo shops can locate. They also approved a 2022 street reconstruction project over neighbor complaints.
The upcoming West St. Paul City Council meeting will include several public hearings and some important conversations about mental health and economic development.
