Jimmy John's drive thru plans

West St. Paul Jimmy John’s Adds Drive Thru

Local stories rely on your support.

Jimmy John’s is adding a drive thru. The freaky fast sandwich shop wants to make things even faster in this age of carry out and drive thru.

The drive thru will be positioned south of the building and take up about half of the existing parking. The building will still have more than the required parking. The drive thru lane has room to stack a dozen vehicles, double what other Jimmy John’s locations see during peak hours.

The project will come before the Planning Commission on March 16 and the City Council on March 22, with public hearings at both meetings.

The West St. Paul Jimmy John’s opened in 2004.

Sept. 10, 2021 Update: Looks like construction is starting and Jimmy John’s is temporarily closed.

Dec. 13, 2021 Update: Jimmy John’s reopened with their new drive thru today. Be aware that the drive thru entrance is just south of the current driveway. If you pull into the regular driveway, it’s the wrong one.
