We provide these West St. Paul City Council previews with your support.
West St. Paul City Council has an extremely light agenda this week, with the appointment of Environmental Committee members as the main agenda item.
As a reminder, the City Council chambers are back to full capacity.
Environmental Appointments
Earlier this year the City Council revamped the committee appointment process and added members to the Environmental and Parks and Recreation committees. Thanks to those two additional seats and two resignations, there are four seats open on the nine-member Environmental Committee.
During the Open Council Work Session (OCWS), five applicants will be interviewed for the four seats:
- Cindy Joanning
- Constance LaCombe
- Elizabeth Pearson
- Joshua Przybylski
- Kim Rostberg
After the interviews, City Council members will rank their choices and the top four candidates will move forward to the regular Council meeting for appointment.
Other Items on the Agenda:
- University of Minnesota partnership: During the OCWS, Council will hear about a potential partnership with a University of Minnesota environmental science class, where the class will study environmental projects within the city and offer a report.
- [That’s really it. Light agenda this week.]
The public can watch the meeting live on Town Square TV or cable channel 18 starting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday (5:30 p.m. for the OCWS meeting).
If you’re not able to attend the meeting in person, you can always use our coloring pages to imagine you’re there.
