We’re in the midst of our member drive trying to get 40 new members so we can add coverage of ISD 197 school board meetings.
Why support our member drive? Help us share West St. Paul history.
Why it matters: As a first-ring suburb, West St. Paul has an often neglected and forgotten history. Understanding and appreciating the past inspires a better future. Help us tell those stories.
Stories we’ve told: We’ve done 81 history stories since 2019, telling big stories such as the Signal Hills Mall and Sibley High School, Then & Now stories that connect the past to the present, highlighted people like James Kennedy, Harold Stassen, and Devona Weatherhead, catalogued mayors and Council members, marked anniversaries, answered questions, mourned tragedies, and explored mysteries and misnomers like Albert Park.

Time intensive: All that research takes time. We’re incredibly grateful for resources like the West St. Paul Centennial book and the Dakota County Historical Society that make it possible, but it still takes an inordinate amount of time. Member support allows us to do it.

Support sharing history: If you appreciate learning about West St. Paul’s past and sharing those stories with future generations, support our work.
