Background: Founded in 1999, the West St. Paul Bingo Palace is a nonprofit gambling hall that offered bingo, pull tabs, and more. Their charitable gambling benefited PGA Reach Minnesota, The Arc Minnesota, Living Well, and ProAct through the Tapemark Minnesota PGA Pro-Am. The Bingo Palace moved to its current location next to Menard’s in 2019.

Tapemark Minnesota PGA Pro-Am issued this statement:

Minnesota Golf Charity Events regrets to inform everyone that a decision has been made to permanently close the West St. Paul Bingo Palace on November 22nd. The past few years have been difficult and while we had hoped to weather the financial storm in the wake of the Covid pandemic, it is apparent the general business decline of the operation in recent months makes it impossible to justify keeping the hall open. It is our hope to continue funding the organization’s beneficiaries through the annual Pro-Am held at Southview Country Club to help others in the community.

Thank you for your patronage and continued support.

What’s next: The building is owned by Menard’s and apparently available for lease.

  1. That’s really a darn shame. I’m am going to miss ALL the staff there. It was fun playing BINGO there.
I really hope whomever comes in next, will be playing BINGO!!

  2. This is so very sad!!! We all know the pandemic along with rising cost in our current economy but so sad that the sponsors did not “ride the wave of the financial storm” longer as this place needs to continue to be a part of the community and surrounding communities that WSP Bingo Palace gave back to….We should be supporting places like this more and it will definitely be felt by all that this is happening…. We wish the BEST to the managers & staff that gave this place their all!! Thanks for all the great times, wonderful memories and support to communities. 👏🏼😊

  3. Tapemark apparently is no longer Tapemark, judging by how all their signs now say “LTS”, their website now redirects to LTS Lehman, etc. Perhaps LTS is to blame?
