We’re in the midst of our member drive trying to get 40 new members so we can add coverage of ISD 197 school board meetings.
Why support our member drive? So you can be informed.
Why it matters: Everyone wants to know what’s going on, but the major Twin Cities media doesn’t always cover local stuff like new restaurants, redevelopment plans, or construction. But we do.
Support Neighborhood News
But we need your support. Our local coverage relies on local support. We need neighbors like you to support our work. You can start at just $3 per month.
And then you—and the wider community—can be informed.

Breaking News
Time and time again we’ve shared breaking news, beating the larger outlets if they cover it at all. Those updates include:
- Business news: Cafe Zupas opening and the Bingo Palace closing.
- Development plans: Mental health crisis center and YMCA/Hy-Vee redevelopment.
- Local government: High school name change and Thompson Oaks wetland.
- Questions: So often we just answer what’s happening here, whether it’s parking lot work at Heritage or work at Bobby & Steve’s.
