Thanks to West St. Paul Chiropractic for their support.
Over the weekend the West St. Paul Police Department hosted their sixth annual charity hockey game. The West St. Paul Police teamed up with South Metro Fire to take on the St. Paul Police Department.
- Benefit: All proceeds from the event go to help two St. Paul police families struggling with cancer.
- Give: While the event is over, you can still donate online to support the cause.
- Result: West St. Paul Police/South Metro Fire won 4-1 over the St. Paul Police. West St. Paul got on the board early with two goals in the first period and added a third in the third period. St. Paul avoided a shutout by getting on the board in the closing minutes of the third. They pulled their goalie to try to even the score, but a turnover resulted in an empty-netter for West St. Paul.
“These games have become deeply personal for us,” said event organizer Elyse Wood. “As first responders, we dedicate our days to answering calls for help, but when tragedy impacts those we serve alongside—like what the St. Paul Police Department is experiencing now—we often struggle with how to respond and help. This event gives us a sense of purpose, allowing us to show up to support these families and find healing through community—all while doing something we love and having a lot of fun.”
