Delaware Avenue Open House

Thanks to Fraidy Cats for their support.

Dakota County is hosting an open house to share info and get public input on the planned reconstruction of Delaware Avenue.

The project: Planned for construction in 2027, the project will reconstruct Delaware from Dodd to Marie, addressing drainage, utility, and intersection issues and adding trail and sidewalk, including sidewalk on Butler from Delaware to Manomin. The county held an initial open house in December.

Open House: April 23

  • When: Wednesday, April 23, from 4:30–6:30 p.m.
  • Where: Two Rivers High School (1897 Delaware Ave., Mendota Heights) in the cafeteria.
  • Format: There won’t be a formal presentation. Instead staff will be available to discuss the project with residents. There will be an opportunity to give input.
  • What: Planners will share project background, existing conditions, preliminary design outcomes, a tentative project schedule, and more. The county is seeking public input on which side of the road trail and sidewalk should go, as well as crossings.
  • More info and survey: More details can be found on the project website and an online survey is available for those who can’t make the open house.

We keep the community informed thanks to the generous support of our members.
