Celebrate the West St. Paul Pool’s 70th Birthday

Opened in 1956, the West St. Paul pool is celebrating its 70th birthday. Join the Golden Gal style birthday party with an event on July 29 (pre-registration required).

  • When: Wednesday, July 29 from 4-7 p.m.
  • Where: City pool at 92 Orme Street West.
  • What: Crafts, music, volleyball, birthday cupcakes and special concession offerings.
  • How: Pre-registration is required, which includes the $6 daily fee. On-site admission only if capacity allows. If you pre-register but don’t show up by 5:30, your spot may be given to walk-up attendees.

Upgrades: The city is in the midst of a two-phase upgrade plan, with most major work happening after the 2026 season.

History: Learn more about the pool’s history, from 1,500 swimmers on opening day to photos from the 1970s and 1990s.
