After community engagement, Inver Grove Heights has final designs for playground replacements at Salem Hills and Ernster Parks.

Process: The city asked for input through open houses and an online survey. The designs will go to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission work session on November 10 for review. At the regular meeting later that night they will provide a recommendation for City Council to consider.

Pace Automotive: Local, family owned auto repair. Personal, honest service.

Cost: Both playgrounds will cost about $170,000, for a combined total of $340,000. That’s under the combined budget of $375,000 approved by City Council in November 2025.

When: Replacement is scheduled for 2027.

Why: Both playground structures are over 20 years old and are being replaced as part of the city’s capital improvements plan.
