The West St. Paul City Council will consider a resolution to make it easier for restaurants to do outdoor dining in the wake of COVID-19 re-openings and restrictions. Note that this meeting is on Tuesday due to the Memorial Day holiday.
Just like all recent meetings, this one will be held virtually with no in-person public attendance.
On the Agenda
- Storage: There will be a public hearing for a new storage facility on Oakdale. The plan was approved unanimously by the Planning Commission last week.
- Net Ministries: There will be another public hearing for vacating a right of way related to the Net Ministries expansion.
- Expanded outdoor dining: The big item on the agenda is a resolution for a temporary waiver allowing local restaurants more flexibility to offer outdoor seating. With the shutdown orders ending on June 1 but new social distancing restrictions in place, expanded outdoor seating might be a way to help local restaurants.
The public can watch the meeting live on Town Square TV or cable channel 18 starting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. There will be a call-in number displayed on the screen to allow for citizen comments and public hearings.
