Ready for another edition of the socially distanced city council? West St. Paul’s City Council will meet on Monday night, once again gathering virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
On the Agenda
- Thompson Oaks cleanup: The city is applying for funds to make the Thompson Oaks watershed restoration happen, a fairly complex project that requires several funding partners. It doesn’t look like there’s a lot of new information, just another attempt at securing grants.
- Thompson Oaks phase 2: There’s an Economic Development Authority (EDA) meeting immediately after the City Council meeting, which will approve a development agreement for 64 market-rate townhouses on the eastern edge of the former Thompson Oaks golf course.
- Net Ministries: The final plat review is coming up for a public hearing for the Net Ministries expansion. The Council previously approved the expansion plans, so this should be routine.
- The money: The city does a preemptive financial review given the impact of COVID-19.
- Parks and Rec: Most park programs are canceled through July 6, though there is potential to use sports fields depending on what happens with the current stay-at-home order that ends on May 4.
The public can watch the meeting live on Town Square TV or cable channel 18 starting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2020. There will be a call-in number displayed on the screen to allow for citizen comments and public hearings.
